Venture Portland’s Monthly Member Meetup
Venture Portland’s Member Meetups are an opportunity for business district leaders to get together in a different district each month to enjoy fun events, local businesses, and networking opportunities. As always, the first drink is on us! We ask Venture Portland members and their member businesses to RSVP in advance.
First Thursday
First Thursdays is a lively monthly community event held from 4–8 PM, May through September. During this time, local businesses stay open later, creating a vibrant evening atmosphere filled with pop-up shops, special sales, and interactive experiences. Visitors can enjoy free art activities like sidewalk chalk, explore an art walk featuring local creatives, and sample wine at participating locations. The event also includes a rotating lineup of food trucks and a fun pub crawl centered around art and wine, making it a perfect way to connect with the community, support local businesses, and enjoy a festive night out.
Watercolor Painting Classes at Artistic Portland Gallery
Taught by Grant Finch. In these 4 classes (2.5 hours each), you will be introduced to several techniques in watercolor painting. Still life, landscape, portrait and free style. Students will be provided with a list of required supplies. Beginner to Intermediate Level.

Tour five private gardens in the Beaumont-Wilshire neighborhood, each with an art-for-sale component. Have fun, meet your neighbors! Net proceeds will go toward BWNA neighborhood events and projects - for the good of the community!

Watercolor Painting Classes at Artistic Portland Gallery
Taught by Grant Finch. In these 4 classes (2.5 hours each), you will be introduced to several techniques in watercolor painting. Still life, landscape, portrait and free style. Students will be provided with a list of required supplies. Beginner to Intermediate Level.
Mini Magnets with Dora Haymaker at Artistic Portland Gallery
Create three magical mixed-media mini magnets in this 3-hour class. First use the fluid and chaotic properties of watercolor to create an abstract ground. Then develop the surface further through lifting color, scratchboard techniques, layering paint, and applying glitter and powders by mixing them with watercolor medium. Finally, add silhouettes to complete tiny worlds with freehand painting, paint pens, decals, or scratching.

Open Den Play Day at Little Doggie Den
Bring your pup and come hang out at The Den! Their Open Play Day is a casual community event where dogs 25 lbs and under can explore the play space, make new friends, and burn off some energy. For only $12, you and your pup get access to safe, warm and dry play areas while connecting with other small dog families. Advanced registration is required.
