Spring LEGO Club at Sylvan Learning
The LEGO Club will meet on Wednesdays at 4:30pm-5:25pm from April 3rd-June 12th (11 weeks). Each week, students will be paired with a partner to work together in creating simple machines, developing stories, and having fun!
Students will be using LEGOs to become more confident in their science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics skills with hands-on learning! Creative Writing Camp at Sylvan
Creative writing gives students a chance to explore, imagine, have fun, and express themselves. Writing creatively allows students to practice rhetorical skills without the pressure of writing the perfect essay. Whether it’s fiction or nonfiction
everyone can be a storyteller. Students will draft, edit, and share their stories all while becoming a better writer.
Recommended for 4th graders and up!

Science Camp at Sylvan
Photosynthesis! Slime! Flinking! Oobleck! and Lentils!? We have five days, packed full of five different hands-on experiments. Students will have a science interactive journal to keep track of all of their observations and results. Together, we will see how photosynthesis works; make slime; test objects in water that float or sink or do neither (aka flinking!); experience a non-Newtonian fluid (Oobleck); and record observations of lentils as they germinate. Don't worry, there's more fun to come - we will also finish each day with a LEGO activity!
Recommended for 3rd grade & up!

Caesar's English Camp at Sylvan
Students will immerse themselves in ancient Roman culture while learning different prefixes and words. Students will be able to explore maps; see the link between Latin, Spanish, and English; learn the etymology of words to help support their vocabulary development; and complete writing prompts to promote a deeper learning of their vocabulary words as well as Roman history.
This camp is for middle schoolers and high schoolers – if you have a 4th or 5th grade student, call us and we can determine if they are ready for this camp!

Graphic Novel Book Club @ Rose City Book Pub
Celebrate Mother's Day with us at Rose City Book Pub with Sylvan Learning to discuss Enola Holmes: The Case of the Missing Marquess on Saturday, May 11th at 12:30-2pm.
