ZRE Music Studio Offers Two Thanksgiving Week Music Camps for Kids and Teens
Looking for something creative for the kids to do while school is out Thanksgiving week? ZRE Music Studio is hosting two one-day music camps at its new NE Fremont Street location, with options for kids and teens ages 7–14.
On Monday, November 23, the Intro to Electronic Music Day Camp gives students ages 11–14 a hands-on introduction to making music with technology. Campers will explore synthesizers and sampling, create their own sounds, and learn how to build a track layer by layer using a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW). Basic music experience is preferred, and students should bring a laptop or Chromebook.
On Tuesday, November 24, younger musicians ages 7–12 can spend the day creating at the Songwriter’s Journey Day Camp. No musical experience is necessary. With help from ZRE’s songwriting coaches, students will write songs together and independently, experiment with pianos, keyboards and other instruments, and spend the day turning their ideas into music. Singing is encouraged, but not required!
Both camps take place at ZRE Music Studio, 4831 NE Fremont Street, in the heart of Beaumont Village.
